Barton Estate Synergy Cab Merlot 2015
Smooth and mouth filling bottle aged Cabernet blend: black currant and spice. We last made our full 5 variety Bordeaux style blend we call “Synergy” in 2004. This medium bodied wine is a blend of 5 grape varieties: Cabernet sauvignon, Cabernet franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit verdot. We are one of the few wineries in Australia able to make this blend. A mouth filling combination of black currant, bramble and chocolate tannins, this wine lives up to the quality of our 2004 “Synergy” blend. This wine has been “pre-aged” in our winery for you and will develop magnificently with a decade or more of judicious cellaring. With hard cheese in front of the fire or slow cooked lamb shanks, life couldn’t get better.
