Nick Spencer Medium Bodied Red Blend 2021

Inspired by the Australian ‘Clarets’ of the 50’s 60’s and 70’s. The Medium Red Blend pays homage to the Classic Australian Red Blend, Shiraz and Cabernet. 

Tasting Notes

Remarkable lifted floral nose with iron filings, blue and black fruits aniseed and chocolate. The palate has a lovely crunch of acidity with an almost cranberry like character.

Food & Serving Suggestions

Roast vegetables and red meat are the two obvious pairings for this wine.

Vineyard Information

Sourced form two mature vineyards just south of the township of Gundagai on rich volcanic iron rich soils.

Winemaking 

All the components of this wine were fermented separately and blended together prior to bottling. The wine was matured in old puncheons with no new oak.

Shiraz - 58%

Cabernet Sauvignon - 32%

Tempranillo - 5%

Touriga - 5%
