This grape variety originated from the Abruzzo region in Italy and is also grown in central and southern Italy
Sourced from the Hilltops region. The wine is rich and full bodied (probably the most full bodied of all the wines we make) it has plum, blueberry, cranberry characters, a bit of spice. Savoury medium tannins and a long finish. 10 months in new and old French oak barriques.
Food Matching: Slow cooked beef stew, lamb shanks and aged cheddar cheese.
