Helm Central Ranges (Orange) Riesling 2019
Helms settled on fruit from Justin Jarrett’s vineyard located near Orange. Orange is a cool climate wine region similar to Murrumbateman although with slightly lower average monthly temperatures and even snow occasionally in winter. The vineyard is easterly situated on red basalt soils at 700m elevation. The vines are meticulously managed and the fruit was of superb quality, free from disease, sunburn and bird damage. The grapes were handpicked and delivered immediately to the Helm winery at Murrumbateman where they were allowed to cool overnight before early morning processing.
