The Ravensworth family continues to expand. This year, Bryan welcomes a new youngun' to the fold, a blend of Fiano and its friends.
Bryan has an affinity for Italian varieties. He's been procuncing some of the best examples of Sangiovese and Nebbiolo in the country for a few years now. He also loves white wines with texture (see The Grainery and his skin contact Seven Months blend). Fiano then was the natural next step.
It has weight, showing apple and pear flavours and the signature Fiano waxy mouthfeel, cut with refreshing acidity from a splash of Riesling and Pinot Gris.
It's a classic 'Italianate' food wine. Big flavours, big mouthfeel. Great stuff.
